In honor of National Virginia Day, we’re shining a spotlight on our exceptional parasol artist, Virginia. Today, we celebrate not only Virginia’s incredible talent but also her unwavering passion for her work. Her originality and dedication embody the spirit of Rubio Arts, where every piece of art is crafted with love and care. For over 30 years, Virginia’s dedication and artistry have enchanted guests and added a touch of elegance to our offerings.
Virginia has been a beloved member of the Rubio Arts family since 1992. Her journey with us began as a balloon vendor, where she charmed guests with her vibrant personality and enthusiasm. After 2 years, she transitioned to sales, a role in which her passion for art and uniqueness continued to shine. Eventually, Virginia found her true calling as a parasol artist, a position she has now held for over 2 decades.
With a background in fine arts and a knack for intricate designs, Virginia quickly became known for her infinite exquisite parasol creations.
I’ve always loved to draw since I was a small child, so my favorite thing about working at Walt Disney World is getting to doodle all day. It’s basically my dream job. I can’t think of anything I would rather do!

Her favorite designs to paint, however, are inspired by 2 iconic Magic Kingdom attractions. Her Haunted Mansion inspired parasols capture the eerie, yet enchanting, essence of the beloved ride. In contrast, her Mary Poppins inspired designs are whimsical with joyful elements that pay tribute to everyone’s favorite practically perfect nanny.
Today, we raise our parasols in honor of Virginia and her contributions to Rubio Arts. Her artistry has brightened the days of countless guests, and we are grateful for her continued dedication to her craft.
