One of the most frequently asked questions our balloon vendors receive is: Can I take my balloon on Walt Disney World attractions? On Walt Disney World transportation? Inside Walt Disney World restaurants? To other Disney parks and resorts? Our team scoured the parks to find where balloons are allowed at Walt Disney World.
PARKS & RESORTS
Rubio Arts balloons can accompany you to any Disney park except to Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. The safety of you and their animals is top priority at Animal Kingdom. So, to prevent any accidental mishaps between the balloons and the animals, this park is not balloon-friendly.
However, if a guest unknowingly or accidentally brings their balloon to Animal Kingdom, hakuna matata! Cast members at the front of the park can hold onto it for you. Guest Relations will hand you half of a yellow identification tab and tie the other half to your balloon. They will then place it in a backstage location for you to pick up on your way out.
Rubio Arts balloons are allowed at all Disney Resorts, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Though, as a precaution, cast members there recommend that resort guests keep balloons off balconies and away from doors.
RESTAURANTS
Rubio Arts balloons can accompany you to most restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort. Cast members may still recommended that you leave your balloon with another member of your party or attached to your stroller outside the restaurant. If neither of these apply to you, you are more than welcome to bring your balloon in the restaurant with you.
If your balloon cannot accompany you to your table then cast members at the front of the restaurant will typically hold onto it for you. Our balloons are not permitted at the following Walt Disney World dining locations:
- 50’s Prime Time Cafe
- Oga’s Cantina
- Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
TRANSPORTATION
Rubio Arts balloons are allowed on all modes of transportation at Walt Disney World Resort. Rest assured, no matter where you’re off to, your balloon will at least be able to travel with you.
ATTRACTIONS
Rubio Arts balloons are permitted at select Walt Disney World attractions. Though, cast members at each attraction will have their own set of balloon protocols. We traveled park to park and categorized each attraction as balloon-friendly or not-balloon friendly.

NOT BALLOON-FRIENDLY
Sometimes, you may bring your balloon through the queue up until you board the attraction. At that point, the cast member who loads you onto the ride will hold it, and hand it back to you when you disembark. Rubio Arts balloons are permitted in the queue of the following Walt Disney World attractions, but are not permitted on the attraction itself:

More often than not, cast members will hold your balloon at the front of the ride queue or near the exit. In this case, you will be responsible for remembering to pick it up on your way out of the attraction. CHARACTER MEET & GREETS
As a general rule of thumb, balloons are not permitted at indoor character meet & greet locations across Disney property. If a character meet & greet experience is outdoors, the character attendant may allow you to bring your balloon. However, the decision lies with the cast member’s best judgement.
